I have been the biggest procrastinator lately which is usual for me. What is not usual for me is to take that time when I could be writing to just pour myself into other huge projects. I think I may have forgotten how to take a step back. I will try to work on that.
There have been some changes to the website I am sure you've all noticed by now. I really like the feel of it now. It speaks to the minimalist in me. Links to my books and audiobooks have all been consolidated to make it easier to see what options you have and where you can find them to purchase. Somewhere along the way I had forgotten about the tool that would allow this to happen. I am trying to compile a to-do list for myself and others if they want to go on a self-publishing journey. Will be posted under freebies when it is done. Now I must head back to my writing desk but full disclosure - I really just want to stare at my new website. I regret not taking before and after pictures. Another thing I am famous for is forgetting to take the "before" shot. Ah well, one day I might learn.

So I've been working on getting my two audiobooks (The Lady Carey & The Lady's Ambition) on more platforms. Including Scribd. They are still available on Audible and iTunes as well. Before you go running for the hills I hope you will take my word for it that it was a very solid chapter, integral to the plot.
But it was still about grass. And I have to laugh about that. Sometimes our stories, just like our lives take us in unpredictable directions and we should all embrace that. The events in the last few years have taught me that not only is nothing certain but the real world can be stranger than fiction. photo credit: Kin Chan on Unsplash Hello! I just wanted to post this for my lovely newsletter subscribers, urging them to reach out to me if they want a free copy of one of two ebooks ( The Lady's Gamble & The Widowed Bride) whichever they prefer. I also have two more free copies of The Lady's Ambition Audiobook as a giveaway. I realize some of my emails might be marked as spam so I wanted to get in touch this way. Submitting the form won't subscribe you to my newsletter. Have a great week! I have left behind the Tudors for now and ventured forward in time to regency England. I had a lot of fun learning about the regency period and incorporating my research into my story.
Thank you to everyone who has pre-ordered. I hope you will enjoy reading it. It was definitely a lot of fun to write. Fortuna's Queen is available for free today only! Grab a copy if you want to dive into the world of Alexander the Great.
(I do apologize for the late announcement. )
She caught my eye because of the intriguing turn of events her life took. From being married off to an obscure gentleman to becoming sister of the queen. She would go on to marry two more times but I focused in on the early days of her marriage to Geoffrey Cromwell, son of the infamous Thomas Cromwell. They both seemed to share the common fate of being overshadowed by their larger than life relatives. Despite coming from powerful families neither seemed to possess much of their own or at least not to the extent that others had.
It was interesting to explore the shift in family dynamics when someone suddenly has everything to play for but everything to lose as well. The New Year is fast approaching and with it come new deadlines and projects for me to work through. Something that I released over the holidays under the radar was a writing planner. I made this mostly for myself but it is available on Amazon for purchase. Thought I'd give a sneak peek here of one of the pages.
The Stars Above eBook is now available to buy on Kobo or read it for free with Kobo Plus.
The paperback is still exclusively sold on Amazon. |
